Since the In-Browser Player is pretty bad I decided to try and stream it to VLC. I found this nifty little script which helps me stream to VLC with the help of rtmpdump:

It works great but the only problem is that if the stream is laggy everytime it hits a bump the stream stops.
Is there any way to make VLC pick up the stream again?
