VLC menu text color

I have a customized windows 7 skin that has dark grey menus and white menu text. In VLC, some of the menu text is still black, even though the keyboard shortcuts next to them have taken on the white color. This is not a problem with my desktop appearance settings; as I said, they are being applied to VLC, just not to the entire menu. Is there any way to fix this other than diving into the source code to find the menu text color descriptor? I attached a screenshot.

Unfortunately not. This is not a VLC bug, but a Qt bug.

What file should I look into then? Is it VLC/plugins/gui/libqt4_plugin.dll?

How do I open this file? I've tried Resource Hacker but got nothing. The only result that I have is opening it as a lua coded file in ExtendScript CS5, and even then all I get is a semi-legible explosion of out-of-order strings.

Why don't you share your way of changing the colour, instead of just saying you succeeded?
