VLC Video Wall and streaming limitations

Hello,
I am currently working on two projects where I am considering using VLC. Both projects involve a video wall, and I have been searching the forum for information on this subject, but have not found an exact answer.
My main issue is, how capable VLC is in keeping large video walls in sync, either by streaming over a network or direct output (cable) from the computer. Specifically, one costumer has asked for a video wall consisting of 64 android devices, as a proof of concept project. Not considering hardware issues, are there any limitations in VLC that would prevent this use?
