Problem with Verint-Nextiva codec

Hello all,

I need assistance with a problem I've been having while trying to run an Avi file where a Verint Nextiva codec is installed.

I get the following error message:

"VLC does not support the audio or video format "V264". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this."

Needless to say, all other players I tried, work wonderfully with the Codec but I need it to run on VLC.

I searched for solutions on the internet and in the forum but without success...

Can someone help me?

Thanks,

RB.

try to change the fourcc to H264 or X264 with FourCC Changer
http://www.fourcc.org/changer/

Can you share such file?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I cannot share the file, as it is a privet, restricted file from a project I work for.

What I forgot to mention is that after getting the error, the file will play only Audio with no Video.

Thank you,

RB.

Then you are screwed. VLC developers cannot add a new codec without a sample file.
