VLC 2.0.1 suddenly stutters reading BDs

Postby bit » 05 Jun 2012 14:58

Hi. I already searched how to fix the following behavior but without results.

Suddenly VLC seems to have Problems reading from my BD-Drive. It plays normally until the first 'faster' scenes - usually already in the publisher's logo. From there on it begins to stutter - playing, caching, playing, caching... The LED on the drive blinks in the same rhythm. You also can hear the read, stop, read rythm. Sometimes when I jump later into the movie, play some seconds and jump back to the beginning everything is fine for the rest of the movie - but this behavior is not surely reproducible.
There weren't any problems some weeks ago with the same BDs (but different VLC version?). So I already rested the settings to default but without results.
Ripping the BD and playing it from HD works fine. MPC HC works fine with my BD-Drive too.

Do you have some ideas what could be wrong here?
