Activate Dolby True-HD/DTS-MA in vlc?

Postby Arc » 14 May 2012 22:44

Hi!

I have been searching around a lot but I can't find any good answers.

I use the latest VLC version (2.01) and I have an Denon receiver which can play Dolby True-HD and DTS-MA 7.1 codecs but how do i activate those codecs in VLC?
Is it even possible to stream those codecs through my computer, VLC --> HDMI on a ATI HD6870 GFX --> surround receiver? If so, which setting do I need to change?
Everytime when i play a movie through VLC it only shows DTS or Dolby Digital on the screen of my receiver.

Thanks in advance!
/Simon

You cannot, with VLC.
