Can someone explain this for me ?

Hi there I am using Vlc to debug a stream for me and it shows me these errors but I am uncertian what they mean.

what happen if I stream this to other player and codec what happening is the picture is pixilating severly. so I though of using VLC to debug . and I get these erors at the points where it pixilates and breaks up. but with vlc it just stops and continues whene the errors are finished.

what does periodicity mean?
what does would be the the probable cause of the other error causing the pixilations. the oversized pes packet or pes packet does not start with 00001

thank -you for your time

It means that the mpeg stream is not correct.
It is not behaving as it should. Ergo there are errors in the video stream.

thanks DJ

I sort of knew that. But I was hoping perhaps someone would reconize the problem with the stream. And perhaps I could figure out a way To correct the stream problem. and perhaps sablize the the pixilation of the media.
I was hoping for a answer with more information then bad mpeg

i don't have it :P

Maybe someone else does, but in general i'd say: get a better encode :)

There are people reading this forum that could know that, so you were right to ask. TheDJ just tend to go "supportal" a bit fast :)

Thanks for your help.

but I was wondering with a bit more investigation, for some of my pixilation problems. I was wondering if a video audio source were streamed but the audio was misaligned in the transport stream ( say it comes one second earlier ( or later) would this cause unsually behavior such as pixilation of the video.

resulting in errors simular to this

the best idea would be to open it with VirtualDub, as it can sometime correct errors in stream. if it can correct the stream, then just re-encode, and your set
