For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

I noticed an interesting thing that causes the incorrectness of the colors in my system. If I set the amount of colors to 24-bit, VLC shows colors wrong, but other players show colors normally. If I change the amount of colors to 16-bit, colors in VLC are fully normal.
So i installed the latest direct x and that fixed it. But i tried to play somethnig today and the same thing happened. So i uninstalled it and installed 0.8.1 and nothing has changed. What's going on?
First, good job on current DirectX. The other good thing is to specifically check with the manufacturer of your graphics chip or board, get their latest drivers.
Actually, I wouldn't say that the latest DirectX is the best. This page,
http://support.intel.com/support/graphi ... 009479.htm
says that my version of graphics driver has DirectX 8.x support and currently I have DirectX 9.0c. And my version of graphics driver is recently updated.

That really worked....
...only for a while. Today when I started my computer, colors of the videos in VLC was incorrect. People's skin are blue  It seems that although I installed DirectX 8.1b the current version of DirectX is still 9.0c. So, I changed back to 16-bit colors mode. Hopefully VLC will someday support 24-bit colors mode in my system.
