When I try to play a movie with wma2 Audio codec and wmv3 video codec the sound is choppy.
But when I disable the video stream the sound flows perfectly, I'm streaming directly from the HD.

Could you take the Controls (Play, Stop, etc.) in the Main Window of the Mac OS X Version like it is in the Linux and Windows Version? The Only reason why i don't use the VLC is because of this "Fatal Design Error"... (i think of it like that)

Is it so hard to but a Skin with this abbility in to the Mac OS X Version? i don't think so ;)

Few bugs in vlc-0.8.2-test1-win32

Postby Sumit » 30 May 2005 09:35

Hi,
I would like to add a few bugs in the beta version:-
1) No audio while playing *.bin files.
2) No audio while playing *.mp4 files.
3) Video pixelizes while playing a very fast action shot.

I used Windows XP SP2 Home edition with AMD Athalon 801 MHz, 128 MB RAM.
Bye

You guys deserve congratulations for releasing 0.8.2, it is a major improvement.
Now for my question I am using the Windows version of VLC 0.8.2 over a 54g wireless LAN with a NETGEAR router.
I have a MYHD card in one system and I would like to stream the output of the MYHD card over the LAN. I had hoped to use the capture device setting and the DIRECTSHOW tab, however I don't seem to be able to get it to stream over UDP unicast, when I check the play locally box it shows up fine on the MYHD machine, but I can't get it to stream. HELP?

I'm afraid I'm lost, where would I find the repeat one command and the repeat all command?

I sem to be having some problems with a divx5 avi too. It worked allright in 21/05/2005 nightly and on 0.8.1, but on latest 31/05/2005 nightly it seems to have problems playing it back (settings are the same). Frames are skipped, audio runs on, then some bframes start playing on top of wathever was before, and so on. I may upload a sample if the developers want.
*goes to check other divx5 files...*

Hope it fixes a bug that was in 0.8.1 edition. It wouldn't play a videofile properly. I could get video, but just small bits of sound. Other than that it was slow to open the videofiles i was opening.

With this version I can't play .ts files anymore. The marker moves, but the time-counter says 00.00.

Support DirectX decoder

Postby Guest » 01 Jun 2005 16:00

Hi,

I was wondering if you plan on adding support for DirectShow/DirectX decoders to renderer? Because playing HD mpeg2/mpeg4 content requires HW acceleration unless you have an incredibly fast system...

In a sense, VLC would be used as a push source in a directX graph architecture.

thanks,

That about the menu in Matroska?.
The work on menus is progressing well and will be supported in the forthcoming version 0.8.2 of VLC. (http://www.matroska.org/news)
It is the truth?

Full screen problem

When the player is set to always on top and then you double-click for full screen the player is on top of the playback. While both the hot key and the pull-down menu option work properly.

In the current version there is an issue with the time when playing DVDs. When in fullscreen when one presses "t" for the time elapsed it always is wrong. Has this been resolved on 0.8.2?
