Problem reading AVI files with 0.6.2 client

Postby blaesfra » 10 Dec 2003 10:23

Hi all

Just installed 0.6.2 and I can't read an AVI file anymore
(it freezes after a few frames got displayed)

Tried a number of options : force avi index, change the output method, etc... with no success

This file could be read without any problem with 0.5.3

Any clue ?

Thanks for your help

Well, which OS are you using ?

Could you try to delete your preference file ? (it is called vlcrc, its location depends on the OS).

Could you send us content of the message dialog box, in the view menu ?

in the log i get many many of these :
"ffmpeg error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping (to slow computer)"

the PC could cope .. last week with the previous vlc version ;-)
