VLC crashes on exiting fullscreen

I've searched around and found some issues with fullscreen in 0.7.2, but not this one.
My problem is as follows: after I start watching a file, I can go into fullscreen mode like I could before (with the F key, or with the right-click menu). However, when I exit fullscreen, VLC crashes and exits. The program just ends. Pausing and unpausing in fullscreen also caused this.
The bug is much more consistant with AVI files than with any other video codec I've tried. In fact, so far this has only occured with an MPEG once, but happens everytime I try it with an AVI.

I'm running Debian "Sid" (unstable) with kernel 2.6.5 on an i686 box with a GeForce FX 5600 ULTRA.
