VLC Mark in Video Playback

Postby Tarquin » 26 Nov 2006 12:35

For some reason, when I play any movie on VLC I get a VLC logo in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I'm using vlc-0.8.6-test1-win32 under Win XP Pro.

I searched the forums for a solution to this problem, but I didn't have any luck. Does anyone know how to remove the logo? I've tried every setting in the Preferences area I could think of, and I was sure to save and restart the application each time.

Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot? I've never seen anything like this...

Actually, after 2 hours of trying to get rid of the dang logo, I uninstalled vlc-0.8.6-test1 and installed vlc-0.8.6-test2a-20061126-0330. That did the trick.

I still don't know what caused it, but I'm very grateful that the fresh install got rid of the problem!

You had probably activated the Logo filter.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
