VLC Compilation Error

Hi,

I am trying to build vlc-0.7.1 under Redhat Linux 9.0 by following the steps stated below:

- Obtained sorce code from http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/0.7.1/
- download/install dvdcss libdvdcss-1.2.8.tar.gz from http://download.videolan.org/pub/libdvd ... pm/redhat/
- download/install libmad binary libmad-0.15.1b.tar.gz from ftp://ftp.mars.org/pub/mpeg/
- download/install ffmpeg source code from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... p_id=16082
- download/install libmpeg2 from http://libmpeg2.sourceforge.net
- Install GNOME Software Development package

I have fixed all the dependency issues that encountered in the first step, below is my command line:

> ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-gnome --with-dvdcss=../libdvdcss-1.2.8 --with-ffmpeg-tree=ffmpeg-0.4.8 --with-libmpeg2-tree=../mpeg2dec-0.4.0

vlc configuration
--------------------
vlc version : 0.7.1
system : linux
architecture : i686 mmx
build flavour : optim devel
vlc aliases : gvlc gnome-vlc

When I tried to run 'make', the compilation start and later the belows error came out:

> make
...

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ldvdcss
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Make sure you have "/usr/local/lib" in your /etc/ld.so.conf then run "ldconfig" as root.
