streaming error(livedotcom warning: no data received in 10s)

Postby btwo0 » 19 Jul 2006 07:15

hi,everyone. I am trying to use VLC media player to view a MPEG-4 RTSP stream.
The address is: rtsp://a1318.|1857058425.c18570.g.lq.akamaistream.net/D/1318/18570/v0001/reflector:58425

As a result, VLC can not play the stream.

The message given by VLC is:
main debug: adding playlist item `rtsp://a1318.|1857058425.c18570.g.lq.akamaistream.net/D/1318/18570/v0001/reflector:58425' ( rtsp://a1318.|1857058425.c18570.g.lq.akamaistream.net/D/1318/18570/v0001/reflector:58425 )

How do i modify some settings so that VLC can play this stream.

Thanks a lot

This problem (in general) means that the server has a stream descriptor file, but the actual data stream (an encoder, for example) is disconnected.

Essentially it's not vlc's fault I think.
