Keep last played audio on playlist highlighted

When I am clicking through my playlist it doesn't keep the last played highlighted. It is really hard for me to remember where I am, which is important as I am running through files for a production.

Any help would be appreciated

To keep the last played audio track highlighted in your playlist in VLC, you can enable the "Show playlist" feature with highlighted items. Unfortunately, VLC does not automatically highlight the last played track by default, but you can manually manage your playlist by following these steps:

Open Playlist: Click View > Playlist to display the playlist window.

Highlight Manually: As you play each track, you can manually click on it in the playlist to keep track of your position.

Use Markers: Consider using VLC’s Bookmarks feature to mark your position in the playlist. You can add a bookmark by clicking Playback > Custom Bookmarks > Manage and add a new bookmark.
