Transferring videos/folders from PC to iPad

Hello, All,

Could anyone tell me how I go about transferring video files from my PC to my iPad, whereby the folder structure on my PC is maintained on the iPad in VLC once the transfer has been done?

For example, I have a folder on my PC called "Videos" and within it, various other folders called "TV Show 1", "TV Show 2" etc. Within those folders are the actual video files just named "01", "02", "03" and so on.

Transferring via either VLC's wifi transfer or via file sharing in iTunes leaves me with no folders in VLC on the iPad and just a load of numbered video files where it's impossible to know which folder/series they should be in/relate to.

I'm either missing something very obvious here, or...........?
