Best Looping Codec

I am using VLC to play a looping video in a gallery.

Sometimes at the loop point there is a little jump I want to eliminate.

I minimized the issue by looping the 30 second video and making it 30 minutes so if there is a jump, it only happens every 30 minutes.

The video is currently an h264 / mp4 which isn't the best for seeking due to how it's encoded.

In the past I have used something like motionJPEG for better playback performance.

Curious about what people here think would be a good file format / codec for seamless looping.
