USB Port

Postby Nugra363 » 10 Jun 2023 23:26

I opened files on USB stick and used VLC to open a video file. File opened correctly and played the video. Now when I open file explorer the USB port shows VLC Conversion, but when I try to open it says VLC Conversion unavailable. How can I clear this from the port? Any help appreciated.

There is no such thing in official VLC releases. If you have installed third party versions or wrappers, you need to get support from them...

Hi
Thank you for the reply and alerting me to the possible problem. I thought I had the official download, but when I investigated the properties I found the publisher was shown as Microsoft, even though my programs list showed the publisher as VideoLAN. Anyway I deleted the program files and downloaded the program from the VideoLan site, and the problem with the USB port has gone away.
