After upgrading to v3.0.18 I have lost the ability to use the full screen toolbar the way I liked.
I setup the full screen toolbar with the buttons I used regularly on the left hand side and was able to slide the toolbar off to the right of the screen just leaving the left hand side showing. This vastly reduced the amount of the toolbar that obscured the movie I was watching. If I wanted other buttons I would either slide the toolbar back to the left or just exit full screen mode. This worked a treat for me but in 3.0.18 you can no longer slide the toolbar partially off screen.
I have read other threads and figured out a partial fix, I changed vlc-qt-interface.ini to the following:
[FullScreen]
pos=@Point(1770 1134)
screen=@Rect(0 0 1920 1200)
wide=false
I set the left hand start position of the toolbar to 1770 which leaves enough space (150 pixels) to show 2 buttons and the time, that is fine but if I move the toolbar the whole thing comes back in view and I cant slide it back to the starting position and is saved for the next time I open VLC.
Is there a setting to re-enable the ability to slide the toolbar so the right-hand edge of it can go past the 1920 pixel mark (or left hand past the 0 to the left)? Or if there was a setting to reduce the minimum width of the toolbar which currently seems to be about 50% of the screen width no matter how few icons you have added to the toolbar.
I hope what I have explained is clear.
Many thanks,
Paul.
