VLC on TV

Postby Kentonius » 18 Feb 2023 17:30

I used to convert files with VLC and save them on a flash drive so they'll play on my TV. It worked great. But many recent files still won't play even after converting to a new file type. For example, I have an MKV file that VLC plays fine on the PC but won't play on the TV. I converted it several times but none of the new versions work. Most say File Not Supported. A couple versions will play on the TV but video is too fast; the audio seems fine but the video looks like it's stuck on fast forward. Are there some settings I should tweak? Why is the convert/save feature not working recently?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

So you encoded these files with VLC on your PC and I guess you mean they don't play with the native built-in player of the TV ?
Please upload a short sample file exposing this trouble to Zippyshare.com or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.
