customize playlist controls

Hi all,
i am looking for a "customized" playlist that allows some more options.
Let's say, I have a bunch of videos to present and after each video, some introduction takes place.
So after one or more videos, I want to show another clip in a loop until I press a key (or take another action) to continue with the next video.
This would allow the presenter to say some words befor the next clip starts.
I couldn't find anything useful, yet.
Any ideas are much appreciated.
