Freezing picture after rendering

Postby ChinaEurope » 02 Sep 2022 21:34

A strange problem: videoclips recorded with my videocamera (mts) or my cellphone (mpg, Huawei p30pro) are always played back perfectly on VLC media player. However, after editing a video and exporting to mpg format with VDSC video editor it sometimes happens that VLC media player (version 3.0.17.4.) does not play back correctly. The video starts correctly but always at the same frame, the picture freezes with sound contineing - and the video may continue after one minute or so. This happens rarely - maybe just 1 clip out of 100 or 200 clips will cause this issue.
Video was exported to mpg format. Strange engough: playing exactly the same video with another player(e.i. Microsoft), there is no issue at all. It seems that only certain well defined video clips are compromised. No way to see any difference compared to the other clips. I suppose there might be a bug when rendering but the VSDC developers have no clue. This issue only concerning VLC and not other players, there could be a bug when decoding the exported video. Exactly the same problem when playing back the video on another computer - the source of the problem, therefore, is the video player.
If a developer has come across this issue or is working on it, I would be happy to email a "compromised" video that can be played with various players but not with VLC.

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also upload a short sample of your original problematic file to Zippyshare.com or to WeTransfer.com and then post the link to the file here.

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:

200 MB max should be enough.
