The judder goes away if I set my display to 23.976 Hz AND deinterlace mode "Film NTSC (IVTC)". But then the image is blurry with heavy aliasing (see below). Is there some way to get the best of both worlds i.e. IVTC but crisp?

Trying to play DVDs, typically 24p film encoded at 29.97 on disc (3:2 pulldown). With default settings the telecine judder is annoying.
