HELP Make permanent "ALWAYS ON TOP" VLC & Help

I have VLC Version 3.0.16 with Windows 10

How can I Force VLC to keep the "Always on top" under the VIEW menu.

Each time VLC is loaded, I have to reset this setting. This setting gives me the ability to use the min/max in the top right, like everything else in Windows 10.

Does anyone of you know how to make the 'always on top' setting permanent?

VLC doesn't save this setting, and you can't force it from VLC from the command line either, your only option is to do it through an external program, something like autohotkey should be able to to it. Just curious. What is the reason for not saving the setting?

You can enable video-on-top in the preferences (Video > Always on top) if you want it on by default.
