fixing language to chosen in audio settings

My video files have 2 languages. It always defaults to the wrong language. How can I either remove the incorrect language choice, or set the player to permanently go to my chosen language?

Tools -> Preferences -> Show settings: ALL -> Input codecs
The language fields are on the right panel
For instance for English language type in "eng,en" (without quotes and without spaces) in the audio and/or subtitle language field
Save the preferences then exit and restart VLC for the change to take effect.
