Wanna set global hotkeys for volume up & down

Hi everyone and I thank you all heartily for being here to help! Sure enough I did search for an existing thread that answers this line of inquiry but found nothing definitive, nothing that supplies an avenue to accomplishing it.

I have an audio playlist with over a hundred tunes. I spend a lot of time with the focus in/on the playlist, selecting which song I want to hear next. Then when it plays, it may have been recorded at a volume slightly more or less than how I want it rendered. How can I set global hotkeys for volume up/down? ..for without that I have to deploy my mouse to change the focus onto the Time Toolbar, whereat the existing volume-control hotkeys are operative. Well that defeats the entire point of Hotkeys doesn't it? ..if I have to reach and grab my mouse dammit?

So what's the answer? Please, anyone??
