Playback screen zoom

Postby Steveh58 » 21 Apr 2021 17:59

Hi All,
I'm pretty hopeless with all things techie so please bear with me.
When I play video I have recorded I have a smaller screen in the top left corner showing the entire picture within the full screen. The full screen only shows a portion which is within a marked out area of the smaller screen and is a zoomed view. I hope that makes sense!
I'd like to just see the video normally as it was recorded in full screen but can't figure out how to do this, can anyone can explain in simple non-techie terms please?

If you're on windows (should probably work on other OS)
1. Start VLC.
2. Hit `Ctrl+E`.
-- alternative to this step is `Right Click` in VLC and in the resulting context menu select
`Tools` -> `Effects and Synchronization`

3. In the resulting `Adjustments and Effects` window select `Video Effects` then `Geometry` tab.
4. Uncheck `Interactive Zoom` button
5. Select `Save` button.

That should solve the problem.
