Normalize Audio and Replaygain

Postby Blushock » 14 Apr 2021 11:48

I don't think this sent correctly the last time. In my preferences, I have audio normalized, but nothing for Replay gain mode. Do I need to set that to track or album to get any effect from audio/volume normalization? Thanks.

Menu Tools -> Preferences (Show Settings = ALL) -> Audio
Then on the right panel you can set the Replay Gain mode (usually Album) and other options.

After the changes save the preferences then exit and restart VLC.

That's good to know about, but it isn't quite what I asked. I'm wondering if I need to activate a Replay gain mode to take use audio normalization. Thank you.

Not that I know, they are two different normalization systems.
