VLC Unable to play Blu-Ray menus using BD-J

So, this has been bugging me for a while now. VLC is able to play regular Blu-Rays perfectly fine. Encrypted and having to be unencrypted with the AACS addon or unencrypted, VLC plays it all. With one exception:

Blu-Rays using BD-Java in their menus. Whenever I try to play one, it just stucks at the poster image on the Blu-Ray:



Interesting enough, if I try to set the entry point to anything else than 0, I get the Blu-ray error " Playback with BluRay menus failed".



Now, if I activate "No Disc-Menus" in Playback settings and choose ANY title, VLC just plays that title.

This only happens on Blu-Rays containing stuff in their "JAR" folder and using that for their menus.


I am running VLC 3.0.11, OpenJDK 15 and Windows 10. Unfortunately, I can't try this out on any other OS. Here is a logfile, though:
