Repeat until hh:mm:ss or Repeat x times?

Hello,
Is there any way I can direct VLC media player to repeat the current video until a specified time (then VLC stops or exits), or repeat it X number of times (then stop or exit)?
I have searched the forums and the wiki, but I missed finding... please point me to documentation or let me know any ideas?
