reapeting tracks

Hi, Im using the latest version 3.0.11 and having problems when having selected multiple files in a folder. I have it set to shuffle but it will play a track then 3 or 4 tracks later it plays the track again. this is very annoying when it hasn't played all the selected tracks.
is there a setting I've missed or is it a bug?

Bump. I'm also curious about this. I just switched to VLC from ZoomPlayer specifically because of this problem. It annoys me so much that I wrote a C# program to shuffle my videos and fire off ZP to play each one (as ZP can be set to terminate after video completion). Works great, fixes the problem, but then raises a new one; focus gets set to the video player when a new vid starts which is very annoying when I'm in the middle of typing an email, lol

So in desperation to find a video player that can shuffle and exclude already played items I decided to try VLC. Judging from this post though, I assume I will be disappointed. I do see VLC supports extensions, has someone perhaps addressed this with an extension?

Yea, probably not. I like programming as a hobby, so I guess my next project will be learning how to make extensions. I saw whilst Googling there was a LUA shuffle extension, I'll have to read over it and learn how it works then rewrite it to do the "I remember what I already chose" type of shuffle. If I get it working, I'll post a link to it.
