Converting MOV files - loss of audio track

Postby BikeMike1950 » 18 Oct 2019 09:45

I've just installed the latest VLC version and converted an MOV file to MP4 format. But the new file does not have audio at all.
But I cannot find any checkbox or parameter that needs to set.
So I'm at a loss of what to do.
Any advice is appreciated.

Lost hours dealing withVLC converting MOV to MP4 and losing audio.

When I opened the MOV file in MS Photos it did not have sound, although it did in VLC.
However I trimmed 1 second off the front and then saved the trimmed file. It was an MP4 that had the sound.
