Why is such a trivial issue of setting the CDDB provide buried in layers of options ---

Where is the url save to set the search to use freedb

Not many people still play CD-DA on their computers. Modern computers don't even have optical drives any longer.

Hello --- Thanks for your reply ---- do you know where in prefs that this is set?

Tools -> Preferences -> Show settings: ALL
Input codecs -> Access modules -> Audio CD
The field is on the right panel.
Save the preferences then exit and restart VLC for any change to take effect.
