VLC App Battery Drain

Hi all.

Last July I bought an Asus laptop running Windows 10 Home. Over the last month, I've noticed the battery doesn't hold a charge very long. It's down to two hours. Thats not normal for a new battery. I went checking around my system(Windows 10 Home) to see what the problem might be and opened up App Usage. I saw that the VLC app had used 68% over a 24 hour period. This is impossible. I haven't used the app in over a week and its had a few recharges since then. I'm not that computer literate so I don't know what I should do as far as checking or un-checking boxes inside the app and what that might do. I was wondering if anybody else has had a similar issue and what you did to resolve it.Thanks for any help.
