Shortcut on twin windows

Hi everyone and thanks for keeping VLC, the greatest video player alive and running!

I've so far managed to open two instances of VLC to play videos, but I would like to be able to play/pause with the media buttons on my keyboard so both videos will play, pause, go back or forward whilst being on the background. It just seems to command one of the windows, while the other keeps running.

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks again!!
