Outgoing Stream Metadata

I'm using VLC to stream a music playlist as an audio stream.

The stream listeners can never see metadata from the playing songs on the playlist. They see the name of the stream only, but beyond that, nothing.

Is there any way of translating the file playing information through the stream to the listener on the other end? That would make my stream SOOO much better. Also having the option of cross-fading between songs or inserting a specific clip every 2 songs or so, but I can understand there are limitations to this software.

It's an awesome streaming platform for a budding online-radio station. I'm just looking to get a bit more data through to listeners.
