How to change Default Subtitle selection

Postby Liar409 » 16 Aug 2019 12:55

I've read til I'm blue in the face and cannot find how to do this. If there is an embedded subtitle file, the player always selects it over the external ,srt file I have in the folder with the .mp4, and yes, they both have the same file name, with the extension being the only difference. Once the video is started, I can go change the usage from the embedded file to my ,srt, but I am looking for a way have the player start with the external ,srt file. Can anyone help me find the right setting? - Thanks

--sub-track=N

I hate to appear blind and/or dumb, but I can find no "--sub-track=" setting. I searched every menu in Preferences, both Simple and Al. The closest I came was under Input Codecs there is a Subtitle Track and a Subtitle Track ID setting and both were set at -1. The Tool Tips says you can set it from 0 to n. I tried changing it to zero but found no way to set it at n. This did not seem to affect the Default Subtitle issue, so I returned them to their original -1 value. Any further advice as where to make that setting change would be greatly appreciated.
