DVDs on VLC with multiple chapters?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

DVDs on VLC with multiple chapters?

Postby pollywollydo » 17 Jul 2019 17:20

I hope I am in the right place.I have looked into your help pages and I realise I know nothing and understand even less.I have used vlc for a while though.
I have a dvd with 4 plus chapters on it and want to transcribe it as it’s region 1 not 2.
All I can get is part one or sometimes an endlessly streaming menu.
Any help in words of one syllable would be appreciated.I just can’t work out what to do.

Hi, this is probably not correctly supported in VLC currently as the transcoding pipeline is more or less stream oriented and doesn't convey this kind of metadata.
