Spherical view for 360° videos?

Spherical view for 360° videos?

I downloaded a 360° video from YouTube, but when I try to play it with VLC the video stretches throughout the entire screen with no spherical view. Is there any way to enable spherical view for 360° videos?

Is there are documentation about what tags exactly VLC is currently looking for to display as 360 Video?

For which container format ? usually it's called "ProjectionType"
