Can play individual chapters, no menu access

Using vlc 0.7.1 I can play individual chapters off a DVD, but have no access to the DVD menus - I cant change the language from French - and while I've watched the 5th Element many times, I prefer it in English!

When using 0.8.1 I cant do anything - playing a DVD throws up a stream of memory leak warning boxes

A bug concerning chapter navigation has been fixed in the developement version. That may explain some of your problems.

Concerning the language, you can change it using the audio menu in the vlc interface.

Naturally, languages works exactly as it should under the Audio menu!!!

Which development version should I try?

0.8.1 brings up a stream of error messages.
