Using VLC with intel microscope help!

Postby minilandrover » 19 Jan 2019 14:43

Hi, I have a working intel MICROSCOPE ,it works fine under LINUX UBUNTU but im no expert on Linux and have forgotten the command line...
My pc defaults to Linux when rebooting unless i select windows 7 . so i can manage windows reboots..
Windows 7 doesn't support the microscope..so i tried using VLC to see the microscope as a capture device.. but i get the "dshow " message when trying to open the capture device..
There must be a simple fix, as the PC can operate the microscope under Linux, so the correct driver is in the hard disk and working. So Im a little disappointed as I was hoping that I would be able to configure VLC to see the device at least..
Can anyone help ? I would so love to use this microscope under windows, as i havent mastered linux, and have forgotten how to open the command line that operated the microscope..
