Possible solution to limitation of no audio in desktop capture ?

Postby Beavis » 29 Dec 2018 01:50

From what I gather, recording video using desktop capture does not allow audio to be included. However, I found this post https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... io#p362207 which says that streams from IP cameras that have a built in microphone can be recorded with both video and audio.
Assuming that I understood this correctly, would it be possible to use VLC on a PC to stream video from one source along with audio from a second source to a second PC running VLC which would then record both video and audio as it is being streamed?
Since I'm very noobish, could anyone who might answer this include an estimate of the level of difficulty?
Thanks so much.
