Can VLC play Youtube videos longer than 30 minutes? {Updated with more info}

Can VLC play Youtube videos longer than 30 minutes? {Updated with more info}

I'm trying to play YouTube videos that range from 30 minutes to 2 hours long but keep getting "your input cannot be opened; VLC is unable to open MRL" error messages. I can play any video under 30 minutes without any issues, and have tried changing video outputs to help play longer videos (sometimes they almost load) but had no success so far. I've also tried playing the videos by altering start and end times to try to cut it shorter but still get the same errors.

The version I'm using is 3.0.4, btw.

EDIT: Started to post some random examples, though just now discovered that I can play longer videos but only certain ones.

I can't play:

Can't find the 30min video that gave me trouble last night (doesn't appear in my YT history, and I don't remember what it was since it was something I randomly selected at night to test out if I could play 30min videos) so no idea what's going on here at all.

Tried it a few times, but there doesn't seem to be any change as it doesn't load the video no matter how much I replace/rewrite the youtube.luac file.

Problem solved! Turns out I just had to wait for github to update their youtube.luac file. Found the download link through hitchhiker from this thread so quoting him below.
New download link to create youtube.luac file. The latest version was created November 9.
