Desktop Capture angle off

I started using the desktop capture in VLC and used the tutorial here to set it up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZBehTaQS4I . The first couple of captures came out fine, then the captures angle was off. The video is tilted about 70 degrees and I cant figure out why this is happening. I went into Tools-->Effects & Filters --> Video Effects --> Geometry everything seems to be fine there. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks
