Twitch.tv quality options

Postby FullMetalDork » 17 Jun 2018 12:00

Today I learned that VLC supports playing streams from Twitch.tv via the Open Media Stream prompt.
It plays the stream just fine on highest available quality option only though.

My question is does anyone know how to add quality options information so the stream plays for example in 360p instead of the highert available.

I know there is an option under Preference*All>Input/Codecs Prefered video resolution. This option works just fine with the like of Youtube videos for example but sadly not for Twitch.

Running a default VLC 3.0.3 installation.

I also know there are other programs to use to enable Twitch streams via VLC that have quality options (for example Livestreamer) but that requires the use of a batch file and is not too intuitive to use.
