VLC "Open Media" Dialogue Default Options

Postby Ghengopel00 » 03 Jun 2018 02:22

Hello all,

I recently upgraded to 3.0.3 Vetinari and I've noticed something that bothers me about the "Open Media" window. I use VLC a lot for watching DVD's, and I do enjoy and sometimes need to use the DVD menu, however every time I open this dialogue window and select the "Disk" tab, the option for "No Disk Menus" is always on. This was not the case in previous versions I used, and if an option exists to change this to be off by default, I would appreciate some guidance.

Additionally, I do not use the Stream feature, but the default action for playing a disk is "Stream" which I do not understand. I would like to also be able to select a default action for the "Open Media" window, and would additionally appreciate some assistance in finding a way to make simply "Play" the default option here.

Thanks in advance.

The checkbox is disabled by default, and the button is Play by default. Always have been.
