Vlc slower playback issue..

Just got new and faster desktop but i noticed something weird that my old slower computer had no issues with.
When playing videos in .50x speed and then clicking to fast forward, the moment it gets there;;; there is a long paus3 that my old computer never did. Btw i have vlc 3.0
