VLC 3.0 True HD Audio

Postby Thatguy123 » 10 Jul 2017 20:26

I recently started watching Bluray on VLC,and I heard 3.0 had True HD support, but it seems it isnt the case anymore since i'm getting ''
VLC could not decode the format "trhd" (TrueHD Audio)''.Is it just me? Or is the feature removed for the time being? Maybe i'm doing something wrong too.

There might have been a regression, could you try with the latest nightly build?

I tried a True-Hd audio .mkv file with 3.0.4 and it doesn't work. Hopefully an update will make this work.

Yes. On Nvidia Shield. The audio and video stop and stutter. It plays fine on SPMC.

I tried Mad Max Fury Road True-HD ATMOS on VLC 3.0.5. Still doesn't work. Shows as PCM with video and audio stopping and starting. Same .mkv in SPMC plays fine and indicates True -HD on the Yamaha.
