trim a video i know how to but its with record option

hey
i have a big movie round 2 hours and 21 second i want to trim it by only only one second from the back so do i have to do the tough work of recording the whole 2hours and 20second can i not trim the videojust by 1 second
please help

VLC is not an editor.
It will be easier and faster to use a dedicated video editor tool such as AviDemux.
