VLC 2.2.8

When I try to stream many Youtube videos with this, they do not work.

So far I'm having trouble with the VLC 3.0: all that comes up is the Command Interface Window.

Is there a fix for VLC 2.2.8? I tried dropping the Youtube luan file from 3.0 into the 2.2.8 place, but that did nothing (the original was removed).

UPDATE:

It DID Work for 2.2.8; you must remove the original completely from the VLC folder.
